A new publication analyses expert opinions regarding European food quality schemes, Public Sector Food Procurement and short food supply chains. The research, led by Kostadinos Mattas from the Department of Agricultural Economics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, presents research-based policy recommendations inferred from expert opinions collected across Europe. Based on the experts’ assessments, the authors introduce proposals to enhance the sustainability of food chains and the effectiveness of food quality and procurement policies.
