EAAE Congress
Several members of the Consortium working at the delivery of the Strength2Food (S2F) H2020 Project attended and participated in the XV EAAE Congress “Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems:

Balancing between Markets and Society” held in Parma (Italy) August 28th – September 1st 2017 and organised by the same Departments and mostly the same Faculty Members who compose the Università di Parma research team in S2F.

S2F Deputy Coordinator and President of the Local Organising Committee of the XV EAAE Congress, Prof. Filippo Arfini, was delighted to welcome and host more than 960 Congress Delegates in Parma (Italy), 14 years after it was last held in an Italian city (Stresa), for a four-day event jam-packed with more than 700 contributions, being presented and discussed across the different Congress formats (Contributed, Poster and Organised Sessions and Organised Panels), 8 Plenary Sessions, 14 Pre-Congress Symposia, 1 Student Case Study Competition, 18 Study Tours and 1 Football Championship.

The S2F Consortium was represented by the following partners: University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, Università di Parma, Wageningen University, Aristotelio Panepistimio Thessalonikis (University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)), Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), Ekonomski Fakultet, Univerzitet u Beogradu, Rheinische Friedrichwilhelms- Universitat Bonn, Hogskolen I Oslo Og Akershus, Centre de Recerca en Economia I Desenvolupament Agroalimentari-UPC-IRTA (CREDA), Universita degli Studi di Milano, Szkola Glowna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego (SGGW), Eco-Sensus Kutato, Oktato Es Kommunikacios Non Profit Korlatolt Felelossegu Tarsasag, Consiglio per la Ricerca in Agricoltura e l’Analisi dell’Economia Agraria (CREA), Barilla G. e R. Fratelli Spa. The aforementioned partners were involved in the presentation and discussion of several pieces of ongoing work developed as part of the S2F Project activities.

But the S2F activities at the XV EAAE Congress were not only work, but there was some time for some socialising and some Italian food…
