Strength2Food researchers at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology at University of Zagreb and the Faculty of Economics and Business at University of Zagreb have won the award for the best scientific research in the field of nutrition at the 7th International Congress of Nutritionists organised by the Croatian Federation of Nutritionists – the National Federation of Nutritionists and Dietitians Associations in the Republic of Croatia.

The research was based on data collected as part of the Strength2Food project and concerns the nutrition profiling of lunch meals in primary schools using the Nutrient Rich Food 9.3 Index. The research was conducted by Ivana Gradiški, Ana Ilić, Irena Keser, Martina Bituh, Ružica Brečić and Irena Colić Barić. The award for the best scientific research was donated by Nestlé Adriatic Ltd. The 7th International Congress of Nutritionists was held from the 8th to 10th November 2019 at the Hotel Sheraton in Zagreb, Croatia. This International Congress of Nutritionists is the biggest of its kind in the region and attracts more than 400 participants.
