The event was organised in conjunction to the 164th European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) Seminar “Preserving Ecosystem Services via Sustainable Agro-Food Chains”, on 5-7th September.
On the first day of the meeting, parallel sessions took place to discuss the progress of project tasks, including: data collection and fieldwork progress on food quality schemes (WP5), school meals public procurement (WP6) and short food supply chains (WP7); consumer qualitative fieldwork, quantitative surveys and virtual supermarket experiment (WP8); hybrid forums, dissemination and publication strategies (WP2); practitioner recommendations and tools (WP10).
In the following two days, 15 research papers from Strength2Food were presented at the EAAE Seminar, which brought together over 100 delegates from the scientific community – for the full seminar programme and event details, refer to: http://eaae164.maich.gr/.
With the tasks undertaken in Work Packages 5 to 8 to be completed by the end of February 2019, marking the end of the second reporting period of the project, an intensive work schedule for the upcoming autumn/winter is underway. The final results from these activities will be discussed with all project partners at the next Annual Meeting, which will be hosted by the University of Belgrade (BEL) in Serbia, in May 2019.
